I would like to know as an AMerican citizen what can be done about this country violating my rights keeping my husband in his country after us spending more and more money trying to get his papers and this goverment knowingly taking our money sending us to Juarez Mexico under the impression they would give my husband his visa then denying him for the law that Past President Clinton passed that states if they are unlawfully present in the US its an automatic 3-10year ban.My husband has been detained in his country for 2 years now seperating us and making life impossible here for me .Where are my rights as an American what can I do?????

I am also a natural born US citizen have two children that are also US citizens but my husband entered the country illegally and when he was 17yrs old (a minor). He was detained by immigration officials as his uncle was driving he was in jail with criminals until the priest in his church got a lawyer. After a month he was finally set free, he had to leave the county voluntarily. Came back illegally and because of all these laws when Clinton was president he is barred for life. Because he re-entered the country illegally. Barred with no hope of ever being able to fix his status. I don’t know what we can do. My husband has never broken the law, he is just a hard working man, trying to have a better life. The only thing is hope that the new President can change the laws because, these laws obviously don’t work, they are seperating families, terrorizing the children, and these raids are just hurting our economy, above all our families, our children. I would suggest to call a lawyer or a community organization to look at his case and see if they can do something for him. I have been told that my husband is barred from ever entering the country for entering the country twice, without a visa.

Humans are not illegal first off and the Christian Bible says that people have the right to migrate to support their families in spite of American Govt. laws, which is what 99.9% of the immigrants are doing here. When compared to legal Americans immigrants have a proportionally lower number of ‘Gang bangers’, molesters and drunks- only Lou Dobbs, Michael Savage and all of the other shock jocks don’t bother to tell you that the sources of their inaccurately swayed information comes from White Supremecist backed organizations. Our actions in this country towards the Hispanic population are a very obvious prelude to Genocide if we don’t change our actions and if that happens, watch out because you might be next. You should get down on your knees and thank God that you were born an American and don’t have to face the conditions that most other 3rd world counties do. You should also be willing to share your blessings. So the immigrants deal with starvation, lack of work, lack of education, crime corruption in their own countries and then they come here and we treat them as they are dogs. You and every single one of the nativist, racists should be ashamed of yourself. May God help us!
