Better late than never- speak out Oklahoma

We’ve been covering the atrocious Oklahom state bill 1804 for the last few months. This legislation is harsher than any other state legislation we’ve seen thus far. If this passes- it could very well be in your state, or a state near you very soon- WE ALL need to mobilize to kill this where it stands. Here is a call to action from LULAC, though many calls were made last week, it’s never too late to voice your concern to the governor’s office.

LULAC Councils Join Together, Demands to Put an End to Oklahoma HB 1804!
WHAT: The Oklahoma League of United Latin American Citizens and its allies are calling on you to urge their Governor to halt anti-immigration legislation before it turns into law. The Oklahoma legislature sent Governor Brad Henry a very destructive and mean-spirited anti-immigration bill, Oklahoma Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act of 2007, HB 1804. This bill promises to open the doors to wide-spread discrimination in the state, as well as opening up the state government to a host of potential lawsuits. They need your help to stop this hateful bill from becoming law! Although the governor has given no clear indication of how he would respond,the bill is expected to cross his desk this week. As of Friday April 20th, the governor has ten days to act. Time is short, so please call TODAY!

PRAISE THE LORD FOR OKLAHOMA STANDING UP FOR ITS RESIDENTS. WE ALL KNOW THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE & DO NOT HAVE TO LEARN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TO TALK TO OUR NEIGHBORS! IF A PERSON IS A “LEGAL” ALIEN I HAVE NO PROBLEM, BUT IF THEY ARE “ILLEGAL”, THEN THEY NEED TO BE DEPORTED. I PAY THE TAXES FOR THEM TO HAVE AMERICAN CITIZEN BABIES & HEALTH CARE THAT MANY “NATURAL AMERICANS” DO NOT QUALIFY FOR. I DON’T THINK THEY DESERVE THIS. DO YOU THINK AN AMERICAN WOULD RECEIVE SUCH TREATMENT IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY? I DON’T; AMERICANS ARE USUALLY TARGETED BY “HATE GROUPS” IN OTHER COUNTRIES.

I disagree with you Kathy. Many Americans retire to Mexico, and are not attacked by hate crimes! According to this new law I will be considered a felon becuase my husband and I live together. I know that doesn’t really matter to you but I have a college degree and no criminal record. For you to hate Immigrants so much I am assuming that you are 100% Native American, becuase if you are not, your ancestors were immigrants to. The tax dollars you are so concerned with losing, are a drop in the hat compared to the $30,000 a year it cost to house just ONE inmate, not to mention the cost of detaining and deporting all of those HORRIBLE immigrants who are taking you tax dollars and stealing your jobs in the chicken houses! I guess my family just isn’t as IMPORTANT as yours! Just for your information, we don’t live off the welfare system. DO You?
